Placement Unleashed - 18/11/07
I am currently on a work placement at CPA Global in Jersey Channel Islands, where I am working as a junior project manager. I am managing an IS (Information Services) project which I have scheduled to finish in July 2008, when the final release is due for live environment implementation. I am also helping other project managers with various projects, which has given me great experience and skills in many areas. I am enjoying my placement, two days are never the same. Working under pressure and striving to meet my project deadlines is making my experience as a project manager very enjoyable. When my project work-load and other project commitments allow, I study PRINCE2 (Projects In Controlled Environments). PRINCE2 is a universal project management methodology approach - used on a global scale. I have been given an official PRINCE2 book to study. Much of the knowledge I have already learnt from reading, has been put into practise as a daily routine. My placement with CPA will run through until September, when I shall return to Plymouth to finish my degree.

After the Christmas break I find myself back at university, with exciting new modules to get stuck into. I have also decided to migrate from my existing flash website, to a more dynamic xhtml website. I am currently on the search for a work placement, beginning September 2007. 3D Studiomax work complete - 09/03/07

Through the duration of the past couple of months I have been working relentlesly, meeting targets and coursework deadlines. One of which, my personal favourite is the 3D modeling module. This modules coursework piece was toconduct research into a selected object, design and produce it as a 3D object, as part of a 90 second video clip. To view the complete video click the image above. I am keen to develop personal projects using 3D modelling software, my coursework was done using 3D Studio Max, however I am interested to expand my knowledge of other 3D applications. I have been reviewing Cinema 4D and will be looking to further my knowledge with this application. Stay tuned for more personal projects to come!
